The new Roman Coppola film, CQ is set in 1969 Paris and Italy and features a nice assortment of Citroens, a Porsche 911, Fiat Topolino and many others that were vaguely recognizable as "ooh yeah, look at that!" This film reinforced my love of the late 60s in terms of clothes, music, furniture and cars.

We've had some feedback on some of our ratings and this I need to address. One of our neighbors in our office drives a very nicely-kept 1968 Mercedes 280SL. He says "I'm happy that I received a relatively good rating, but I'm always trying to achieve the best-- especially in matters of taste, balance and style. What's needed for a 9? Was it something I was wearing? Or perhaps the crunched tail light?"

Perhaps we don't know him well enough, but the big reason he didn't get a 9 is the non-standard chromed wheels. This is like the wrong shoes with the right suit. We recommend the stock steel rims with hubcaps. In this case, we didn't judge based on clothing, but on the owners adoration of his vehicle. Cars will love back if treated right. We felt it here. Thus, an 8. Love is accelerating.
